Hello everyone and sorry for being quiet for a while. Hope you're all fine and healthy.
I have mov ed from Bali to my forever home on the island of Timor in Indonesia. An area near the border to East Timor. There's no tourism here, you won't find anything about this place. It's quiet - that's what I was looking for. Hopefully many years ahead full of creativity in many ways ... music, writing, drawing, painting, reading, cooking, baking bread, swimming, snorkeling, scuba-diving, filming, photography. Look at my social media for a couple of reels and shorts I have filmed recently. Enjoy and have a good time!

Doing well everybody? Are you busy and familiar with social media? I haven't been for a long time. But when I started my music school in Germany many years ago, many of my students asked me to be 'friends' online. I'm curious and open minded and so I've explored some of the common sites to find out all those possibilities of advertising and keeping contact with music lovers and friends.
Over the years I've produced literally hundreds of small videos of my travels throughout South East Asia and loaded them to Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. For many of these memories I have used previously unreleased music that I've recorded throughout my whole life. It's so much fun to go through all those musical pieces that mean so much to me. Again and again I discover long forgotten pearls in my archive. Please have a look at all those sunny fragments - like and follow, so you don't miss any news. By the end of this year I will move from Bali to the wonderful island of Timor. I will install my recording facilities there and I'll produce a bunch of new music soon. And I will continue writing my book about life and travels and migration to a third world country. Maybe some of you might like to explore all those adventures of this journey. Hope you're fine! I've spent some time on the Island of Lombok, Indonesia. Maybe you've heard about Mandalika, the new MotoGP street circuit. I've been driving from Bangsal to Senggigi and Mataram. I've survived a massive cyclone that caught me on the motorbike, soaking wet after one hour driving through heavy rain flooding the roads.

Time flies, and so it's my second year in Indonesia already. Still living on the Island of Gods, Bali. I've moved from Ubud to Canggu two weeks ago, another touristic hotspot you may know if you've ever been here. I'm scared about the news from Ukraine and the situation all over Europe. Hopefully they will all find a smart solution very soon! Meanwhile tourism in Bali increases rapidly after the quiet pandemic times. Good for the locals, but I don't like this development - the island seems not to be able to improve the infrastructure same way as the masses of tourists grow. So this will be my last year in Bali. I've found a wonderful remote place to live on Timor Island. I'll be the only 'bule' there. Being the only 'white' then also forces me to improve my 'Bahasa Indonesia': no English there.
What about music? Having no work permission yet, I'm preparing for new adventures and enjoy the beauty of the 17.000 islands I call 'home' now. Please stay tuned for more information next time. And if you're on the island, don't forget to meet me for a drink. You'll find some photos right here.

Selamat datang! I'm happy to announce that I'm living in Indonesia for already half a year now. I found a new home on the "Island of the Gods" - Bali. I enjoy the wonderful Hindu society and of course the awesome nature, beautiful rice fields, rain forests, astonishing temples and breathtaking sea views. I already got a ton of photos and videos of my new world. And I got some studio equipment with me as well as my favorite guitars. So I already started recording again.

Hello friends, these days are weird for me. And I'm pretty quiet.
I've already told you I'm going to move to Indonesia in a few weeks. So many things to do right now:
Clear my house, quit a lot of insurances and things, sell the car and get rid of a million things I used to have over the decades. Not easy and sometimes sentimental, too. Anyway. Time flies and I think I'll be back here while I "enjoy" my 10-day-hotel-quarantine in Jakarta next month.

The wonderful live-club [zamma] seems to be one of my few "living rooms", places I play pretty often. And, yes, I love it. My "Farewell Show" is all me, accompanied by some dear friends. Love you all!
The "OpenStage" is one night each month where it's my pleasure to invite and present all kinds of artists, mainly musicians of course. The shows in November and December will be my last ones, and I'm glad to have some very special guests again - as usual. Some of them will let me be a part of their shows, so I'll be singing and playing both nights, too.
For me there will be some private shows that will keep me pretty busy until I'll start the new chapter in my life and take the long flight to South East Asia - packed with two clothes and two guitars ...

Hello my friends, hope you are all fine out there. Many months have passed. We have all survived this pandemic and something like normal life seems to return. More or less, depending on where you are. Thank you to all my students still attending my guitar lessons. You have saved my life as a professional musician in times without gigs and concerts.
Well, after all I had a lot of time to think about life and circumstances. And I've decided that there is still something else waiting for me. So I've finished teaching guitar lately and decided to open another chapter in my life. I'm going to leave Germany forever and start a new life in Asia. I will settle to a beautiful island in Indonesia, gateway to Komodo archipelago - the island of Flores. Things will get started after Christmas this year, so there are only about 10 weeks left here. I'm looking forward to this giant step. I know I got a lot of friends down there and already kind of a huge new family which I found travelling throughout Asia many times before.
I'll be back soon and I'll let you all know how making music will be in Indonesia. I won't stop making music.
Without teaching I will even have more time for what is most important to me. Please stay tuned and healthy.

Hello out there - long time no see! Hope you are all fine and healthy.
We're all crawling through these horrible Covid-times. Since there are no more concerts, I have to say "thank you" to all my guitar students still making my musician life possible after all. You know who you are ...
I've spent the winter in Indonesia, my second home meanwhile, got so much friends and kind-of-family there.
It will be my future home. But that's another story to be told in time.
Got another voluntary (and negative) antigen swab test today, once a week - so many of them meanwhile.
It should be compulsory for anyone, I think, as each of us is responsible for our people these days.
I got nothing else to tell, please stay healthy and optimistic - let's wait for better days.

Early this year an old man in our valley has died. His wife and adult son called me and came to my place three days before the funeral and asked me for a favour: The dead man was a huge rock fan and especially the Nektar song „Good Day“ was the one of his life. He had always wanted it to be played at his funeral. I didn‘t know the song at all, so we‘ve checked it out. „Hey, this is a full band rock song with lots of things going on“ I told them, unaware of how to present it as a soloist. They left, begging me to try it. So I took my steel string acoustic and came up with this special sound, stripping that song to the bone and recording it very late that night. Next day they came to listen, and they were overwhelmed. Two days later I have played it exactly like this at the funeral amongst some other songs - concentrated on singing in front of a hundred people silently crying. Now I've cut a little video of a beautiful place in my childhood town - soon to be demolished. Here's the video and the song: https://youtu.be/M7zzECBJWq8

Hello lovely people! I'm happy to announce that concerts are possible again in Germany.
Very small ones, but anyway. I had a very beautiful one a few days ago in a wonderful new venue close to my home.
And another fantastic one is up to come at the brand new culture spot [ zamma ] in Remshalden.
You have to do a reservation for that evening. Due to pandemic restrictions there won't be lots of places available.
The more you have to hurry with your reservation. But the more intimate this evening will be!
